The Denver Federal Center (DFC) is located adjacent to the foothills of the Colorado Rockies and is only minutes from downtown Denver. The Center houses 28 different agencies in 44 federal buildings. The Bureau of Reclamation was getting frustrated with the lack of cellular coverage in one of the buildings they occupied. In addition to addressing their needs, they also wanted to understand how they could establish a groundwork to support other agencies and buildings on the campus. DFC hired us to outline various DAS Wireless options - support grow-as-you-go, multiple agency budgets, and use of existing campus fiber to connect to a central headend location. The result was a state-of-the-art digital DAS that addressed their requirements and provided a path for 5G, increased capacity options, and support for IT devices on the same network.
